Yay, today I’m celebrating the MFT February Release with a fairytale card. I combined stamps from the new Fairy-tale Friendship set with ones from last month’s Knight in Shining Armor.
In my card, the knight is hidden in the castle (Castle Drawbridge Die-namics) while the brave princess is confronting the dragon, who turns out to be a sweetheart. It’s so fun to create scenes with a little story, isn’t it?

I started by lightly inking the partially cut castle (I got rid of the door) with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I also drew the bricks with the help of a light grey marker and a ruler. Finally I splattered it with some dilluted ink. For the grass I used one of the dies from the Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics, Sour Apple Card Stock and the following Premium Dye Inks: Sour Apple, Field Day and Prickly Pear.

The sentiment and the knight are from the Knight in Shining Armor stamp set. The circle die that I used for the window is from the matching die set. I used the following Copic markers to color the characters:
- Knight: C4, C3, C2, YR24, YR21, BG13, BG11, E11, E21, E000 and R00
- Dragon: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, YR24, YR21, G43 and G40
- Princess: E11, E21, E000, R00, E55, E53, E51, E50, RV34, RV32, BG13 and BG11

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and the whole MFT February Release Countdown. Before you leave, if you’re interested, HERE you can see six cards featuring dragons. Most of them are interactive! For more inspiration, check out the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel. Happy shopping at the MFT Boutique!
