Tenía ganas de hacer una tarjeta náutica (vivimos en un pueblo de la costa y a mi marido le encanta pescar) con mucha textura y algo de volumen y me gusta mucho el resultado:
I wanted to make a nautical card (we live in a village by the sea and my husband loves to fish) with a lot of texture and some volume and I really like the result:
Para el fondo usé un panel de papel de acuarela que entinté ligeramente con tinta Distress «Gathered twigs». Encima pegué tres tiras de lienzo rasgado (quité dos hilos de cada borde) y entintado con la misma tinta además de tinta en spray D’ylusions en un precioso tono turquesa llamado «Calypso Teal» y unas gotas de Glimmer Mist «Vintage pink» para darle un pelín de brillo…
For the background I used a panel of watercolor that I inked with a bit of «Gathered twigs» Distress Ink. On top of that, I glued three strips of distressed canvas (I pulled out two threads on each side) inked with the same Distress ink as well as with D’ylusions’ «Calypso Teal» ink spray and some drops of «Vintage pink» Glimmer mist for a slight shimmer.
Embosé un trozo de cartulina en plata para cortar el ancla del set de troqueles «Let’s get nautical» de Die-namics y usé un cordón de algodón blanco para simular una cuerda (jajajaja, ahora me doy cuenta que debería haberla ensuciado un poco, parece recién estrenada). En principio mi idea era escribir algo con la «cuerda», pero tras varios experimentos fallidos opté por usarla como un simple adorno.
I silver embossed a piece of cardstock to cut out the anchor with a Die-namics die from the «Let’s get nautical set» and used a white cotton cord to simulate a rope (hahaha, I really should have distressed it a bit…it looks brand new). My first idea was to write something with the «rope», but after a couple of failed experiments, I decided to use it as a mere embellishment.

I cut the lifesaver using another die from the set, also out of canvas and inked it with «Antique linen» Distress Ink. The red pieces are red cardstock…
…usé la misma cartulina para crear uno de los banderines y estampar y embosar el sentimiento «Feliz cumple» de un set de sellos de «Con Sal y Pimienta». Para el otro banderín usé papel de acuarela, un troquel de Sizzix y un sello del precioso set «Muero de amor» de Lora Bailora.
…I used the same cardstock to make one of the banners and to stamp and emboss the sentiment «Happy Birthday» from a set of clear stamps by «Con Sal y Pimienta». For the other banner I used watercolor paper, a Sizzix die and a stamp from a beautiful set by Lora Bailora.
Quise añadirle un último toque «masculino» a la tarjeta así que elegí tres brads de tornillos que adherí debajo del sentimiento. Por último pegué el panel a una base de tarjeta, también de papel de acuarela (necesitamos cartulina de alto gramaje en las librerías de España, ya!) con cinta de doble cara acolchada y ya está. I wanted to add a last «masculine» touch so I went with three screw brads that I attached under the sentiment banners. The last step was to adhere the panel to the cardbase, also watercolor paper, with 3D double-sided tape and that’s it. I hope you liked it. See you soon!
