For this week’s Sketch Challenge (WSC482) at the MFT Blog, I created a thank you card featuring images from three of Birdie Brown’s four medical profession stamp sets.
The sketch is really simple and versatile… It consists of three vertical elements and a horizontal sentiment banner. After going through my stash, I thought it would be a good idea to use the Birdie Brown medical profession stamps to create a heartfelt thank you card.
I couldn’t be more grateful to the people who risk their lives to take care of those affected by the Covid19 virus. This includes all those heroes who continue working, so that the rest of us can stay safely at home with our kids and elderly.

I started by stamping the surgeon from the Doctor’s Orders stamp set, in the middle of my panel, die cut with the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. Next, I covered the image with a fussy cut mask and stamped the Doctor from the Bedside Manner set to the left, and the nurse from the BB Super Hero in Scrubs set to the right.

- Skin: E11, E21, E000, E01
- Lab coats, medical equipment and shoes: C3, C2, C00, R29, R27, R24)
- Nurse’s hair: W7, W5, W3 + pencil (BG18, BG13, BG10 for his scrubs)
- Surgeon’s hair: E59, E37, E35, E33, E31 (BG02, BG01 and BG000 for her scrubs)
- Doctor’s hair: YR27, YR68, YR65, YR61 (100, W10, W7 for his pants and shoes)

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment, from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude set, on a piece of vellum and die cut it with one of the banners from the Skinny Strips Die-namics. As a last touch, I added some matching enamel dots.
