Hi again! I’m back with another clean and simple card… this one features the funny peeing dog from the You Make My Tail Wag stamp set.

I created it for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge 126. The beautiful color palette definitely has a fall vibe to it and I could have grabbed any recent MFT product, but I really wanted to use the above mentioned stamp set for the first time.

Being me, I googled “orange hydrant” and they actually exist. Apparently the different colors indicate different types of water, water pressure, etc.

- Stamping the drops from the SY Piggy Pebbles stamp set.
- Placing the puddle stamp from the BB Rain or Shine stamp set.
- Masking the hydrant.
- Result of the stamping of the puddle.
- Three masks + masking tape.
- Ink blending with Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink.

I used both Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the scene and applied a little bit of Glossy Accents to the drops and to the nose. I’m not a fan of adding it to create water… it doesn’t usually look great. So I just used colors to create the reflection. HERE’s another card of mine with a reflective surface.

I hope I didn’t take the funny element too far and hurt sensibilities. 😉 Will you join us and create a project for Color Challenge 126 at the MFT Blog? You could win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique!
