Hi there! For this month’s Birthday Project Challenge at My Favorite Things, I made a super colorful sixties inspired flower pattern card.

I wanted the flowers to look kind of messy or abstract, like the ones in this “Unikko” fabric by the Finnish brand Marimekko:

For the sentiment I diecut and layered a couple of the words from the Sweet Hello Die-namics and backed it with vellum, so that it would stand out a little more. I also added a little banner with a partially embossed sentiment from the Bitty Birthday Wishes and some matching enamel dots.
I hope this card has inspired you to think outside of the box when it comes to flowers… I can’t wait to see what flowery project you create for the MFT July Birthday Project Challenge. Please, head on to the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the DT and remember that one lucky participant will win a $50 gift voucher to the online store!
