Hi, it’s time for Day 5 of the July Release Countdown and I’ve made two interactive cards featuring the new Twist & Turn Die-namics.

I’m especially excited to share them with you because I designed this set together with Jody Morrow and Laina Lamb! It’s a very versatile die set that easily allows you to add up to four moving elements on your card.

Aren’t these animals just adorable? They’re from Birdie Brown’s Sunshine & Friendship stamp set and they’re having so much fun splashing around in the pool. Speaking of pool water, I followed Sandy Allnock’s video tutorial to create the cool background. OK, without further ado, let’s watch the card in action!

So when we pull the tab, two of the critters twist and turn. We can also choose to only have one moving element, like in the following card:

As an afterthought, I took advantage of the space behind her to stamp a second sentiment from the Sweet Spring Friends stamp set in Cornflower Blue Premium Dye Ink.

I totally winged the background… I started by coloring the whole thing with markers ranging from B04 to B000. After that, I used rubbing alcohol to splatter the background and my Copic blender marker to draw the “pebbles”. I also added some drops of Glossy Accents as a decorative touch.

And that’s all that I have for you today. Be sure to head on to the MFT Stamps YouTube channel to watch the video tutorial for today’s cards. HERE you can see another card that I made with a similar mechanism and four moving elements. Also, visit the MFT blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher to the online store. Happy 4th of July to all Americans!
