We’re down to the last Countdown Day before the MFT April Release goes live and I’m sharing a simple reveal slider card with a star sprinkling bear.

When the tab is pulled, the bear slides across the panel, sprinkling (or lighting up the) stars as it goes. Before I tell you more about the card, let’s see it in action in the clip below…
You’ve probably guessed that I used little magnets for the mechanism, like I did in THIS card with a moving van or in THIS other interactive card with falling leaves. It’s a great option if you want to create a no fuss interactive card.

I was actually going to use flowers, but the die from the Star Pops Die-namics set was ideal for this. If I had gone with the flowers, I would have had to use a bunch of separate dies and run the panel through the Big Shot many times. I might still do it though and film the process, so stay tuned…

First of all, I stamped, diecut and colored the bear from the Sprinkling you with Love set. I used the following Copic markers for the coloring: E37, E35, E31, E59, WE, W3, W1, B02, B01, B00, R29, R27, R24, B18, B14, B12. As per usual, I added the final detail with Prismacolor pencils.

Next, I did some simple ink blending with Cornflower and Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink on a piece of Smooth White Card Stock. I also added light shading with the Slimline Cloud Edges Stencil.

Once the ink was dry, I ran the panel through my Big Shot with the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics and the row of stars from the Star Pops Die-namics. I cut the pull tab out of the rest of the panel and two layers of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, to make it really sturdy.

After that, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Boo Crew stamp set on a banner of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, die cut with one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics. The last step was to assemble and embellish the card, which I did in no time. Thanks for your visit! Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog as well. See you tomorrow!
