The MFT December Release Countdown is nearing its end and I’m back to share a sweet card with a vellum tag that I made for Day 2.

It features a cute fox from the Let’s Curl Up set, which I stamped directly onto a tag of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum, die cut with the Gift Tag Die-namics.

I colored it with Prismacolor pencils (PC909, PC912, PC921, PC922, PC924, PC938 and PC948) and embellished it with a topper and edge piece in Gold Shine Card Stock. They were perfect for hiding the thin foam squares. I also added a hole reinforcement in white and a black waxed cord.

Next, I went to work on the A2 card base of Smooth White Card Stock. I used Extreme Black Hybrid Ink to stamp all of the images on it. I also stamped some of them on another piece of card stock. Those I colored and die cut with the matching dies.

I used some of them to lift the middle of the vellum tag and others to add a touch of color to the otherwise monochromatic background. The last element, that I actually struggled with, was the sentiment strip. I partially stamped and heat embossed a phrase from the Let’s Curl Up set on Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock. Next i die cut it with one of the dies from my beloved Skinny Strips Die-namics and adhered it to the card with thin black foam squares.

That’s it from today. Now as always, I invite you to visit the MFT Blog for more projects with today’s featured products. Thank you for stopping by!
