Cute baby card for MFT

Hello! The MFT October Card Kit Release Countdown starts today and I’m sharing a cute baby card, created with some of the products from the kit.

Before I tell you more about my card, let’s have a quick look at this month’s card kit. It includes two stamp sets, a set of dies, a paper pad and a bunch of card stock.

The first thing that I did was to adhere one of the patterned papers from the Gift Wrap Paper Pad to my A2 top fold card base. I wanted to create a little scene with the two airplanes from the Fox and Friends stamp set, so I stamped them, as well as some clouds, with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on some Copic friendly card stock.

Next, I die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with the following markers; E37, E35, E31, BG18, BG15, BG11, BG10, RV14, RV13, RV11, C3, C2, C00 and W10. I left the clouds uncolored, so that they wouldn’t draw too much attention…

The first plane is pulling a banner, with a heat embossed sentiment from the Greetings & Salutations, die cut with the Skinny Strips Die-namics out of Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock. The second plane is pulling some balloons, die cut with the Pumped-Up Alphabet Die-namics out of four tones of the card stock, included in the kit. I lightly shaded them and added some soft highlighs with a white Prismacolor pencil.

To make it easier to work with them, I stuck the balloons together with strips of Score-Tape. Next, I glued pieces of black thread to the back of them. I adhered them to my panel, die cut with the Hip Hip Hooray Die-namics, with thin foam squares. I pulled the threads tight and attached them to my panel with a strip of tape. Lastly I adhered the pink plane on top of the tape.
