Hi there! I’m joining the MFT August Card Kit Release Countdown on the last day with a fun card featuring a retro van and a pair of romantic bunnies, from the Better Together stamp set.

I thought that it would be fun to create a love themed card… So when I assembled the retro van, instead of using acetate for the window I went with Heavyweight Translucent Vellum, for a steamy effect.
I also stamped the cute bunny twice on Copic friendly paper and colored it with the following markers; W10, W5, W3, W1, R20, RV11, E53, E51 and E50.
Although it’s difficult to see in the pictures, I heat embossed a couple of paw prints from the BB Cat-astrophee stamp set on the vellum, with clear embossing powder. I also added a blue enamel heart to the retro van itself.
To create the colorful sunset, I inkblended three tones of Premium Dye Inks; Poppy, Orange Zest and Lemon Drop. For the grass, I chose Gumdrop Green Card Stock, which is also included in the card kit… I die cut it with one of the dies from the Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics, inked the edge with Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink and heat embossed the sentiment on it.
My intention was to add the little signpost from the BB Adorable Adventures, but the card looked too crowded. Another fun idea would have been to make it into an interactive card and have the van rock back and forth… or maybe that would have been too much, LOL.
