Hello again! The MFT April Release Countdown is nearing its end and I experimented with some creative no line coloring on a sweet PI girl.

She’s from the adorable PI Safe Place stamp set. I started by stamping her with a light beige ink on a panel cut with one of the dies from the Stitched Pinking Edge Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

Next, I grabbed my Prismacolor pencils, but instead of starting with the “caucasian skin colored” ones, I mapped out the shadow parts with thin layers of green and purple. Then I used some light brown tones and only after that, the flesh colored ones as well as light pink. As you can see, I totally changed her facial features by adding a nose, eyelids and some surprisingly bushy eyebrows, LOL!

I’m definitely not a pro using this technique and I’m not a hundred percent happy with my coloring, but I love trying new things and switching it up. My 10 year anniversary as a cardmaker will be in October and I’m still learning, which is super fun!

That’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed the transformation of the sweet PI girl. Check out what my teammates created on the MFT Blog or visit the MFT YouTube Channel for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!
