Hi there! Today we’re kicking off the MFT June Release Countdown! I made a CAS card with a sweet mermaid, for the occasion.
I started by stamping some of the images from the Mermaid for Each Other set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on Copic friendly card stock. After die cutting them with the matching dies, I colored them with the following markers:
Sweet mermaid: E11, E21, E000, G16, G14, G07, G05, G03, G02, BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, E33, E31, R29, R27, R24
Blow fish: E33, E31
Crab: R29, R27, R24
Fish: BG15, BG13, BG11
After that I went on to die cutting all of the elements of my tropical scene with dies from the Island Paradise Die-namics set. I used the following colors of card stock for it: Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Sour Apple, Lemon Drop and Heavyweight Translucent Vellum.
Finally, I die cut a panel with dies from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. Before assembling my card I stamped the sentiment from the Mermaid for Each Other set on the lower edge of it.
For the card base I chose my favorite Summer Splash Card Stock. As a last touch I added some clear enamel dots. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Head on to the MFT YouTube channel and/or Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team!
