Witch colored with Prismacolor pencils

Card featuring witch colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Time flies by when you’re having fun and we’re down to Day 2 of the MFT August Release Countdown. I’m sharing a Halloween card featuring a witch colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Day 2

I started by die cutting a panel out of Gravel Gray Card Stock with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. Next, I stamped the cute witch from the YUZU Best Witches stamp set on it with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I covered the image with masking paper, stamped the beautiful chair and colored my scene with Prismacolor pencils.

I’m no expert, but I thought it would be fun to practice a little bit especially on dark card stock. Some parts, like the skin took extra effort and layering of different tones…

I usually don’t like adding white highlights to Copic coloring because it makes things look shiny but it’s different with color pencils. The little witch didn’t come alive until I added some white pencils strokes.

To complete the card, I added a second slightly larger white panel and a card base covered with a piece of paper from the Poppin’ Polka Dots Paper Pad. As a final touch I added some matching enamel stars. Thanks for stopping by! Check out the MFT Blog and YouTube channel for more inspiration.
