Hi again! I’m back with a Christmas card with no-line coloring, featuring the cute Santa from the BB Jingle All the Way stamp set, for WSC518 at the MFT Blog.

This time I felt like following the sketch to a tee, so I scaled it, printed it and used it as a template to cut and place my elements.
I started by adding a piece of patterned paper from the Very Merry Paper Pad to an A2 top fold cardbase of Smooth White Card Stock. Next, I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4 5/8″ (13,4cm x 11,7cm) strip of the same card stock.

After that I used the template to cut a 5 1/4″ x 2 5/16″ (13,3cm x 5,9cm) strip of paper from the Summertime Polka Dots Paper Pad. I did it in such a way, that the polkadots stayed in straight lines. After adhering the two strips to my cardbase (and trimming them), I went to work on the circular element…

The no-line coloring
First, I stamped the before-mentioned Santa with a light ink on a piece of Copic friendly card stock and then I colored it with a mixture of the following Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils; R39, R29, R24, R22, E11, E21, E000, W10, W7, W3, W1, BG02, BG01, BG00, BG13, BG11, BG10 and PC995, PC928, PC924, PC1072, PC1063. It was especially fun to color the beard!

Once my no-line coloring was ready, I used the 2 1/2″ die from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to die cut the image, which I adhered to my card. Lastly, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Bitty Holiday Wishes on a piece of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum and die cut it with one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics. I also die cut a banner in white, which I used as dimensional adhesive to adhere my vellum banner to the circle.

As a last touch I added a couple of red enamel dots. I hope that my card has inspired you to participate in WSC518. You could win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique! Thank you for stopping by! ^_^
