Card with lilies for CC144

Card with lilies for Color Challenge 144 at the MFT Stamps.

Hello! Yesterday I showed you my card for WSC495 and today I’m sharing a card with lilies for another challenge, CC#144 at the MFT Blog.

This week’s color combo is perfect for flower themed projects. I hadn’t yet used the Lily Die-namics set, so I grabbed it and ran it through my die cutting machine with Ripe Raspberry, Tickled Pink and Lemon Chiffon card stock.

Next, I used the following Copic markers to add some shading and color to the elements; RV11, R20, RV09, RV06, RV04, G43, G46 and E37.

To give the petals and leaves some shape, I gently rubbed them with a ball point stylus. After that, I lightly inked a yellow oval on an A2 card base of Smooth White Card Stock with the Oval Extraordinaire Stencil and Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink .

I also stamped the “hola” (from the Heap of Hellos stamp set) in Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink and the “I’ve missed you” (from the Greetings & Salutations stamp set) in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.

Finally, it was time to assemble the lilies and adhere them to the cardbase. I used glue dots, which gave me a little bit of wiggle room as well as some volume.

As a final touch, I added some Clear Round Drops, which I adhered with Glossy Accents, which is a very strong, clear adhesive.

I hope my card inspires you to join this week’s Color Challenge. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. I’ll probably send this card to my mother, who I haven’t seen since Christmas… she loves lilies!  Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
