Interactive card with floating rhino

Interactive card with floating rhino.

We’re halfway through the MFT February Release Countdown and I’m back with an interactive card featuring a cute floating rhino.

It’s from the adorable Headed for the Stars stamp set. After stamping it with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on Copic friendly card stock, I colored it with the following markers: W5, W3, W1, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, YR24 and YR21. I also added some texture with Prismacolor pencils.

Next, I die cut the image plus two more of the shapes so that I could stack them with liquid glue and make it more sturdy. I’ve made different versions of magnetic slider cards before… you can check out THIS or THIS tutorial on the MFT YouTube channel or read more about them HERE and HERE. I’ve also made a double slider card tutorial before. For this card I just combined the two concepts to created a magnetic double slider card.

For the 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ (8,3cm x 21cm) background I used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and the Rolling Clouds Stencil.

The banner that I cut out of Black Licorice Card Stock is from the Skinny Strips Die-namics set.

You can check out the card in action either on my IG account or YouTube channel. If you’re interested I could make a tutorial but it’s a pretty easy card to create.  Speaking of creations… head on to the MFT blog to see what my teammates made for today!
