Card with birthday cakes

For the second day previewing the products of the MFT February Release Countdown I’m sharing a super sweet card with birthday cakes.

I started by stamping the image from the JB Birthday Bites Stamp Set on a 6″ x 4 1/2″ panel of Copic friendly card stock. After covering it with masking paper I used the Smart Mask – Horizontal Diagonal Center Strip and two tones of Distress Oxide Ink to blend my background. I also splattered some water and dilluted gold watercolor on it.

Next, I cut a panel with the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and colored the cakes with Copic markers. I also stamped the sentiment from the Essential Birthday Messages set in the upper right corner.

Lastly, I layered my panel onto a slightly larger one in Porcelain White Card Stock and a third one in Gold Shine Card Stock. I adhered the ensemble to an A2 card base and added three gold enamel stars. That’s it for today. Thanks for your visit!
