CAS card with vanity license plate

Clean and simple card with vanity license plate for Day 2 Follow Up of the July Vault Release.

Hello! Today I’m stopping by to share a cool, clean and simple card with a vanity license plate that I created for another review day of the MFT Vault Release.

It was inspired by the back of  a Volkswagen California van with its retro brake light and rear hatch handle with key hole. To create those I used dies from the Money Card Die-namics and Gumball Machine Die-namics as well as Red Hot and Brushed Silver Card Stock. I stacked several layers to make them look more realistic.

Next, I cut the license plate with the Vanity License Plate Die-namics out of Smooth White Card Stock and combined stamps from the Vanity License Plate Alphabet and Gumball Greetings, to decorate it. I also added some light ink blending with Kraft Premium Dye Ink and four Silver Mini Round Brads for a realistic touch.

Before adhering everything to my 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Red Hot Card Stock I ink blended a couple of stripes on it with Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink. I also smeared some “dirt” around the license plate and keyhole.

I forgot to mention that I added some too discreet ink blending (Geometric Mosaic Stencil +  Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink) and several layers of Glossy Accents to the break light.

It sure was fun to make this atypical, clean and simple card! Hopefully, I can give it to my father on his 81st birthday next month.
