Square card with frosted donuts

Square card with frosted donuts.

And just like that we’re down to the last day showcasing products from the MFT July Release. I made a card with delicious-looking frosted donuts that I hope you’ll enjoy.

Card with nine frosted donuts.

I started by die cutting all of the pieces from the Time to Make the Donuts Die-namics out of the following colors of card stock: Cotton CandyGrapesicleSno ConeSmooth WhiteMilk Chocolate and Gold Shine. I stacked two of each kraft colored base to give them some volume. I found that the easiest way to add the sprinkles was by backing the card stock with Scor-Tape, running it through the machine and peeling off the negative. The sprinkles stay inside of the die so you can then get rid of the tiny pieces of release paper with a needle point and rub the die against the donut.

For the sentiment I went with a heat embossed strip of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. It’s from the A Dozen Reasons to Smile set. To align the frosted donuts on my panel I drew a couple of reference lines with a pencil and T-ruler.
