Hello there! It’s time for another interactive card tutorial for the MFT YouTube channel! I made a card with a wing flapping fairy that I hope you’ll enjoy.
But as always, before I get into detail, let’s check it out in action in the video clip below:
I started by partially stamping the little girl (princess?) from the You Deserve the Royal Treatment set and the cute dog from the Hot Dog stamp set. After die cutting them I colored them with the following Copic markers:
- Dog: YR27, YR24, YR21
- Skin: E04, E11, E21, E000
- Dress (and wings): BG13, BG11, BG10
- Hair (shoe and belt details): RV09, RV06, RV04
- Crown and shoe detail: YR27, YR24, YR21
Next, I went to work on the background… I did some simple ink blending with Summer Splash and Field Day premium dye ink. Once the panel was dry I cut two horizontal 3 ¼” (1,9cm) wide slits (with a 1″ gap between them) for the mechanism… This is so much easier to understand in the video tutorial, so do check it out if your interested in adding wings to any of your larger about 1″ (2,5cm) wide critters.
