Howdy! Today I’m stopping by to invite you to the MFT YouTube Channel to check out my tutorial for two slider cards with typewriters.

The one to the left is a regular slider card with a hidden channel and the other one is a double slider card. Before I tell you more about them, have a look at the cards in action, in the video clip below:
I love seeing how the hidden messages appear! They’re from the Typewriter Sentiments: Friendship and Typewriter Sentiments: Love stamp sets.

Even though you can’t see it in the tutorial (I try to keep them as short and to the point as possible) I started by embossing the Typewriter Text background stamp twice, in white. Then I used the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics to cut my panels. For the slider card I also used the channel die from the Typewriter Die-namics.

The double slider card works thanks to a cellophane strip wrapped around two slits cut with a craft knife. The upper slit is about 2 3/8” (6cm) from the upper edge and the lower one is 1” (2,5cm) from the lower edge… The distance between them is 2” (5,1cm) and they need to be just slightly over ½” (1,25cm) wide, since that’s how wide I made the cellophane strip. You’ll find it a lot easier to understand these steps in the tutorial.

If you have any questions after watching it, just leave me a comment on YouTube or here on my blog. Thanks for stopping by!
