Shaker card with graphic roses background

Elegant card with graphic roses background for the MFT December Release.

Today I’m celebrating the MFT December Release with an elegant shaker card featuring a background with graphic roses.

I started by doing some ink blending with the following Distress Oxide Inks: Fired Brick, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber on a panel of Smooth White Card Stock. After letting it dry completely, I stamped the Roses All Around Background on it with Versamark Ink and added clear embossing powder.

When it melts the effect is so discreet and beautiful… like wet tone-on-tone. After that, I die cut the panel with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and the A Very Big Hi Die-namics.

I filled the shaker with very flat sequins in gold and peach tones. That way I only needed to add one layer of foam tape to create room for them to move. For the sentiment I used a stamp from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude set. I partially heat embossed it in white on a piece of Black Licorice Card Stock. Finally, I used one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics to die cut the banner.

I’m totally in love with these graphic roses and I’m sure I’ll use the Roses All Around Background many times in future cards! I case you missed my Day 2 card featuring the Roses All Around Cover-Up Die-namics, check it out HERE. I also created a photo prop with the Rose in Bloom Die-namics and three layers of gold embossing. I can’t wait to see what my team mates made for today. Won’t you join me at the MFT Blog?
