Hey there! It’s time to kick off the MFT November Release Countdown! I’m sharing two cards with stackable snowflakes for the occasion.

I started by stamping the beautiful Snowflake Flurry Background in Versamark ink on some white card stock. For one of the cards I played with different colored embossing powders (applying a tiny amount of each of the colors with a piece of straw) to create a cool gradient effect.

For the second one I used a mixture of the left over powders (silver, purple and two shades of blue). I love the color of this personalized embossing powder!

After trimming the panels I backed them with Silver Shine Card Stock and adhered them to Caribbean Sea and Tropical Teal colored A2 card bases.

Next, I die cut a bunch of snowflakes with the Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics in matching colors. Besides the already mentioned colors of card stock I also used Heavyweight Vellum, Smooth White and Grape Jelly.

I added a red heart, die cut with one of the dies from the MSTN Cool Christmas Trees Die-namics, in the middle of one of the large snowflakes. It works nicely with the sentiment from the Coolest Friends stamp set, which I heat embossed in silver on a strip of vellum.

For the other card I went with a banner cut with one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics. As a last touch I added some silver enamel dots to both cards. Please visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the DT!
