Hello there! Today we’re kicking off the MFT July Vault Countdown and I’m sharing a birthday card with rainbow dots.
I started by doing some rainbow ink blending with the following Premium Dye Inks: Red Hot, Candied Yam, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Summer Splash, Grapesicle and Boysenberry.
Next, I used the Peek-a-Boo Polka Dots Die-namics to die cut the rainbow dots. I held them inside the die with a piece of masking paper and used the negative piece as a template to adhere them one by one to my A2 card base.
I wanted to make them stand out so I used thick foam dots for the task. After that I die cut the Wish Die-namics out of Gold Shine Card Stock backed with fun foam. I adhered them on top of the dots.
To complete the sentiment I partially heat embossed one of the stamps from the Essential Birthday Messages on Black Licorice Card Stock and cut it with one of the dies from the Essential Speech Bubbles Die-namics.
I felt like the card didn’t need any other embellishments but I’m curious to know… What do you think?
