Hi there! I’m back with a summer card featuring a fun sand castle to celebrate the launch of the MFT “Beach Day” June Card Kit.

I started by doing some ink blending on a piece of Smooth White Card Stock with the Sunny Rays Stencil and following Premium Dye Inks: Red Hot, Candied Yam, Butterscotch and Lemon Drop. After the ink was dry, I die cut a panel with the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

After drawing the sand with Copic markers, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Life’s a Beach set on it. It looked too plain against the A2 white card base so I framed it with a slighly larger panel of Milk Chocolate Card Stock.

Next, I die cut all of the sand castle elements out of Kraft Card Stock (and the shell out of white card stock) with the Sandcastle Builder Die-namics. I added some texture, with the same markers that I used for the sand, and assembled it with liquid glue.

To give the card a tropical vibe I added a palm tree cut with the Shady Palm Die-namics out of Jalapeño Popper and Milk Chocolate Card Stock. That’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed my card. Here’s a last look at the Beach Day Card Kit. Get yours from the MFT Shop before they sell out!
