Hi there! Today I’m stopping by to share a floral card in purple, black and silver that I created for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC588) at the MFT Blog.

Before I tell you more about my card, let’s have a look at the sketch, which I followed quite closely…

I started by heat embossing the Lined by Hand Background in silver, on an A2 card base of Black Licorice Card Stock. Next, I did some ink blending on a piece of white card stock using the following Distress Oxide Inks: Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves. I spritzed it with some Mica Spray for a nice shimmer.

Then I used dies from the Stitched Garden Die-namics to cut a bunch of flowers. I temporarily added a strip of tape to my card base so that I could line up and adhere the flowers diagonally.

Next, I die cut some stems and leaves out of Silver Shine Card Stock and added them to my card. The only thing missing was the sentiment…

I chose one from the gorgeous Stylish Sentiments set and heat embossed it onto a hand cut banner of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum.

Lastly, I added a bunch of matching enamel dots. I hope my black and silver floral card has inspired you to participate in WSC588. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Store! Before you leave, HERE is another elegant card with a black cardbase and embossed elements. Thanks for your visit!
