Slimline slider card with dogs

Youtube tutorial of Christmas slimline slider card with dogs.

Hello! Today I’m sharing another interactive card tutorial on the MFT YouTube channel. This time I made a Christmas themed slimline slider card with the cute dogs from the Jolly Molly stamp set.

When we pull on the slider panel, the dogs grow to almost double their original size! Check it out in the video clip below:

Isn’t that the cutest? In order to lengthen the dogs I had to do some partial stamping, fussy cutting and simple drawing although you could also get away with partial die cutting using the matching dies.

To color the dachshunds, I used the following Copic markers:

Dog with red sweater: E59, E57, E55, R29, R27, R24

Dog with green sweater: E55, E53, E51, BG18, BG15, BG13, R29, R27, R24

For the mechanism I only needed a slider panel, die cut with the rectangular die from the Slimline Slide-In Die-namics and a couple of slits, cut with a craft knife, in the main panel.

My initial thought was to create a scene with other static dogs (the stamp set includes four different ones) but instead I went with a clean and simple look with a camouflaged sentiment. I modified the message from the Joy, Peace, Love Die-namics.

Before I leave, here are the measurements for the card in case you want to create it. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the tutorial for step by step instructions.
