Slimline card with graffiti for WSC555

Slimline card with graffiti for WSC555 at the MFT Blog.

It’s time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC555) at the MFT Blog and I made a slimline card with graffiti featuring the cute girl from the BB Little Helper stamp set.

I was inspired by the cute sketch and my teammate Alberto’s gorgeous June Vault coloring, which you can see HERE

My graffiti is a lot simpler. I used the Miss You Die-namics to cut a stencil out of masking paper. Then I applied red StazOn ink with a sponge so that it would stick to the brick wall, which I made with clear matte embossing paste and the Slimline English Brick Wall Stencil. In THIS recent card I used the same technique. To make it stand out a little bit more, I drew a black shadow with a permanent marker.

Next, I lightly inked my  8″ x 7″ (20,5cm x 17,8cm) cardbase of Smooth White Card Stock with Lazy Day and Summer Splash Premium Dye Inks. I also inked a strip with Field DayJalapeño Popper and Sour Apple and die cut it with one of the dies from the Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics.

To assemble my card, I trimmed my brick wall to 8″ x 2 1/2″ (20,5cm x 6,5cm) and adhered it first to another same sized strip and then to the cardbase for some added dimension. Next, I glued the strip of grass to the lower edge of my card and added the fussy cut image of the girl and hand drawn spray bottles with foam adhesive.

For the sentiment strip I used the following products: a strip of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, die cut with the Phrase Builders Die-namics , and one of the sentiments from the All About You set.
