Card with cute hedgehogs for Day 1

For the last day of the MFT August Vault Release Countdown I’m sharing a card with the cute Hedgehogs from the BB Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I love playing around with small stamps. That’s exactly what I did today by creating my own patterned paper. The before mentioned stamp set has a bunch of cute little images, but I also used some pumpkins and leaves from the BB Harvest Mouse set.

I stamped them directly onto my A2 top fold cardbase of Copic friendly card stock because my idea was to later color some of them. However, I decided that I’d stamp, die cut and color some of the images separately, to use as embellishments.

I also stamped the main scene separately and masked each element so that I could do some simple ink blending with the following Premium Dye Inks: Jalapeño Popper, Prickly Pear, Butterscotch, Candied Yam, Fire Coral and Moroccan Spice.

After I was done with the ink blending and the coloring of the little scene (Copic markers+Prismacolor pencils), I used the sixth largest die from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to die cut it.

I popped it up with some foam tape and added a little sentiment banner of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and my embellishments to finish the card.
