Card with sunrise for CC165

Card with sunrise for CC165 at the MFT Blog.

Hello again! I’m back to share a colorful card with a sunrise that I made for CC165 at the MFT Blog. It features a couple of cute houses included in the My Neighborhood Die-namics set, from the May Release.

I used them for the first time in THIS card, in which I highlighted one of nine houses by making it really colorful. This week’s color palette is very bright, so I die cut my houses out of Eiffel Tower Prestige Card Stock in order for them to look like silhouettes against the sunrise.

I created it by combining the Radiating Rays Stencil with the Candied Yam and Moroccan Spice Premium Dye Inks.

For the grass I of course used the two tones of green card stock, as well as two of the dies from the Grassy Hills Die-namics. To add some texture, I splattered the hills with Jalapeño Popper and Prickly Pear Premium Dye Inks.

I of course found the perfect sentiment in the Right at Home stamp set, which I heat embossed in white on the lower edge of the A2 panel. My card base of Smooth White Card Stock ended up measuring 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ (22,2cm x 14,3cm).

The last detail that I added, was a little heart from the Mini Mail Die-namics, which I die cut out of Moroccan Spice Prestige Card Stock. I covered it with Wink of Stella shimmer and Glossy Accents. I also added the latter to the windows of the houses.

That’s it for today! I hope my romatic card has inspired you to participate in CC165. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Store!
