I’m back with a sweet card featuring a couple of lovebirds from the SY Being with You stamp set, for Day 4 of the MFT March Release Countdown.
I started by stamping (with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink), die cutting and coloring the images. Then I fussycut the lovebirds and separated their tails from their bodies, so that I could adhere them behind the branch.
I wanted to frame them in a nice way so I created a panel with faux stitching and a heart shaped window. The Kraft Card Stock, Kraft Premium Dye Ink and wood grain texture add warmth to an otherwise clean and simple design. HERE’s a recent shadow box card for which I used the same tone-on-tone combo.
For the sentiment I went with the Lots of Love Die-namics, which I recessed with the help of foam adhesive. It adds a lot of depth to the card and draws even more attention to the lovebirds.
I completed it with a little strip of heat embossed Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock with a partially stamped sentiment from the Essential Sentiments stamp set.
