Howdy! This week’s sketch for WSC530 at the MFT Blog, inspired me to create a slimline card with an ink blended sunrise and a cute gnome house.
I started with the ink blending on a piece of smooth white card stock… First, I used Fire Coral, Candied Yam and Butterscotch Premium Dye Ink for the sky (and Candied Yam for the sun). Next I grabbed the Slimline Drifts & Hills Stencil and used Caribbean Sea, Field Day and Sour Apple for the ground. I added some water droplets for a nice textured look and once it was dry, I diecut it with the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics.

I followed the sketch quite closely, although I did move the banner a bit. It didn’t look good going across the gnome house… The sentiment is from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude, by the way.
It was so much fun to assemble the little house, die cut with the BB Gnome Place like Home Die-namics out of a bunch of different card stock. I backed it all with Stick-It adhesive to make it easier and chopped off the top of the house in order for it to fit..

As a last touch I added some brown and white mushrooms and grass, as well as a heart, die cut with one of the dies from the Slimline Starter Die-namics.

Before you leave, HERE’s a pop-up card which also features the gnome house (on the outside). Thanks for stopping by! I hope you participate in this fun challenge. You could just be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique.
