Yay, today I’m celebrating the MFT January Card Kit Release by sharing a slimline friendship card with banners.

In my two countdown cards, which you can see HERE and HERE, I’ve used almost every product from the Friendship Card Kit. Everything except the Kit Exclusive Friendship stamp set and the Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Flags Die-namics. Today’s card features the latter.

In order to fit three medium sized banners, I die cut my panel with the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics out of Smooth White Card Stock. I adhered it to an 8 1/2″ x 7″ card base in Butterscotch Card Stock.

Although my intention was to create a clean and simple card, the banners looked too plain. I decorated them with the tiny hearts from the Mini Mail Die-namics, die cut in Red Hot Card Stock. Next, I went to work on the cute images from the BB Hug It Out stamp set…

I stamped them on Copic friendly card stock with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with the following markers; W10, W7, W5, W3, W00, YR27, YR24, YR21, RV34, RV32 and RV11.

To make the animals stand out from the background, I adhered them to the banners with thin foam squares. I also used foam tape to adhere the banners to my panel. This time I didn’t add any enamel dots. I hope you enjoyed the January Card Kit posts. Happy shopping at the MFT Boutique! ^_^
