CAS friendship card with gnome

CAS friendship card with gnome for January Vault Release.

Today I’m celebrating the MFT January Vault Release with a clean and simple friendship card featuring images from the BB You Gnome Me stamp set.

It was so much fun to color the gnome and snail, which I stamped with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and diecut with matching dies! I used the following Copic markers for it:

  • Skin: E11, E04, E00, R01
  • Hat: R39, R35, R24
  • Beard: E37, E33, E31, E50
  • Blouse: Y17, Y15, Y13
  • Suspenders: R39, YR27, YR24
  • Jeans: B95, B93, B91
  • Shoes: W10, W7
  • Flower pot: W1, W00, Y17, Y13, YR27, YR24, YR21
  • Snail: E37, E33, E31, E50, W3, W1

I also added some texture with Prismacolor pencils… This is especially useful for clothes, which usually aren’t perfectly smooth.

Next, I went to work on my clean and simple panel… I started by die cutting a piece of Smooth White Card Stock with the awesome Friend Die-namics. Then I ran it through my Big Shot once more with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

Before adhering it to an 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ card of Sour Apple Card Stock with foam adhesive, I partially stamped the additional sentiment on it. Now it was time to adhere the gnome to the panel…

He looked perfect in front of the letter N. The cute little snail of course had to be by his side.

As a last touch, to finish my CAS card, I added a couple of hearts from the Mini Mail Die-namics die cut in Red Hot Card Stock. Thank you for stopping by! Did you already visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration and info about the January Vault?
