Cheerful card with bunnies for Day 1

Hello again! I’m joining the MFT January Vault Release Countdown on Day 1 with a cheerful card featuring the adorable bunnies from the BB Somebunny stamp set.

Copic coloring

I started by stamping some of the images with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and die cutting them with the matching dies. Then I colored them with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils… adding little strokes, to make the bunnies furry. Here’s a list of the markers that I used:

Bunny with blue dress: E33, E31, B95, B93, B91
Bunny with pink dress: E53, E51, E50, RV34, RV32, RV11
Bunny with mint dress: W5, W3, W1, W00, BG13, BG11, BG10
Chicks: YR65, Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
Carrots: YR68, YR65, YR61, G12, G16
Flower: W1, Y15, Y13

Next, I went to work on the background. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel of Sno Cone Card Stock and adhered it to an A2 card base of Smooth White Card Stock. Then I adhered a piece of patterned paper, from the Summertime Polka Dots Paper Pad, to card stock and die cut it with the Tucked-in Turf – Horizontal Die-namics.

Before adhering the strip to the panel, I popped out the grass detail, so that I could insert the cute little carrots later.

The sentiment

For the sentiment, I went with the scripty word from the Twice the Hugs Die-namics, which I die cut out of patterned paper backed with fun foam and Stick-It adhesive. I also made a little strip in Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock with one of the stamps from the Lots of Hugs set and Phrase Builders Die-namics. I played around with all of the elements for quite a while before adhering them in their final places.
