Welcome back! Today I’m celebrating the MFT January Release with a Valentine´s Day card in red, black and white.
It’s actually the third recent card that I’ve created with this combo, which I associate with love. HERE and HERE you can see the previous ones…
Although I already used the Heart Rays Die-namics during the January Release Countdown (in THIS card), I hadn’t taken advantage of its unique design. I though it would be fun to combine the puzzle feature of it with the “You complete me” sentiment from the Bitty Hugs & Kisses stamp set.
First, I adhered that black and white striped paper from the Creepy Confections Paper Pad to an A2 top fold card base of Smooth White Card Stock. Next, I adhered the polka dot paper from the Road Trippin’ Paper Pad to a panel of the same card stock.
After that, I used the heart die (which I also die cut in Red Hot Card Stock), as well as the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics, to die cut my panel. I adhered some acetate to the reverse of it and inlaid all but one of the heart pieces in their places.
Next, I adhered my panel to the card base with foam adhesive. The original idea was to turn it into a shaker, but you could hardly have seen the content of it anyway. After heat embossing the sentiment on the last heart piece, I adhered it sligthly off set with thin fom squares.
To finish the card, I added one of the cute zebras from the Zippy Zebras stamp set, as well as some enamel dots in black and red. That’s it for today!
