Funny card with milk carton for December MFT & Friends

Yay, it’s time for the December Release to go live and I’m sharing a funny card with a milk carton and a pun in Spanish, for the December MFT & Friends.

I knew that I could combine the Joyful Giraffe Die-namics with the Got Milk Die-namics in a fun way. So I die cut the spots in Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and added them to the tetra brik.

I also added some facial features by using one of the dies from the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-namics, which make anything look cute!

Now that my milk carton was ready, it was time to work on the background. Black and white usually looks good on a turquoise background. So I die cut a piece of Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and adhered it to an 8 3/4″ x 5 6/8″ card base of Smooth White Card Stock.

Next, I went to work on the sentiment… I actually needed a Thank You card for a neighbour, so I decided to use the Captions Alphabet Die-namics to create a milk related pun in Spanish.

I die cut the letters both in black and white card stock (backed with Stick-It adhesive) and layered them slightly offset to create a 3D shadow effect. To adhere them as straight as possible, I drew some lines with a pencil and T-ruler.

In order to balance the sentiment, I added a speech bubble die cut with one of the Love Speech Bubbles Die-namics. I added a second one diagonally opposed, to draw attention back to the milk carton.
