For Day 2 of the MFT July Card Kit Release Countdown, I shared this interactive hot air balloon card and since I filmed the process, today I’m back with a tutorial, for what I call the ferris wheel mechanism.

Why ferris wheel? Because when you rotate the toothed wheel of my card, the hot air balloon moves in a small circle, while staying leveled. The pod of a ferris wheel also stays level while it rotates. Check out the movement in the video clip below:
To create the ferris wheel mechanism, I combined dies from the Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-namics and Interactive Swing Die-namics. I also partially stamped the image from the Best Adventure Bears stamp set and die cut it with the matching die.
