It’s time for another Weekly Sketch Challenge at the MFT Blog (WSC492)! This time, I’ve created a simple card with an eye catching ink blended background.

I usually follow the sketches to a tee, but this time I rotated it and I turned the main balloon image into the sentiment and the three sentiment banners into flowers. This is absolutely allowed and as long as we can see that you were inspired by the sketch, you’re fine.
I started by ink blending the background with Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks. To give it some texture, I splattered water and diluted ink on it.

Once it was dry, I stamped three of the flowers from the gorgeous Flower Silhouettes stamp set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, in the lower left corner. I then stamped them with Versamark Ink, to do some clear embossing on top.

Next, I die cut the Say Hello Die-namics in Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock backed with Stick-It adhesive and adhered it to the upper right corner of my panel. I then used the largest die from the A2 Stiched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics to die cut it.

I hope my card inspires you to participate in this fun WSC492 challenge. You might be the lucky winner of a $50 gift card to the MFT Boutique!
