Two different cards for Day 5 of the MFT May Release Countdown

A different masculina card for Day 5 of the MFT May Release Countdown.

Hi there! Today we’re kicking off the May Release Countdown at the MFT Blog! I made two very different cards with the featured products, which are amazing.

The first one is a fun masculine card, that I created with the Hanging with My Gnomies stamp set. I stamped two of the gnomes on some Copic Friendly paper and went to work…

List of Copic markers used for two different cards

  • Skin color: E11, E21, E000, E04, E20
  • Left gnome: E59, E37, E35, E31, G07, G05, G03+black Prismacolor pencil
  • Right gnome: W7, W5, W3, W00, B06, B04, B02
  • Background: BG01, BG00, G46, G43

Next, I framed the little scene with a couple of stacked Polaroid frames, die cut with the Polaroid Shaker Frame Die-namics. It was the perfect spot to partially stamp the sentiment, also from the Hanging with My Gnomies stamp set. I then heat embossed the rest of the sentiment in white, on a small Licorice Black stitched circle.

I cut an A2 top fold cardbase in Cement Gray Prestige Card Stock and adhered  a piece of stamped paper from the Woodgrain Whimsy Paper Pack to the front. It’s so different and fun!

Finally, when assembling all of the elements, I decided to add a pop of green with some leaves. I diecut them out of Jellybean Green and Gumdrop Green card stock using the Grande Greenery Solid Die-namics.

I also wanted to use the cute Rainbow Whimsy Die-namics, which is our “Free with $60” product, to create a CAS second card. I diecut the rainbow out of my favorite rainbow combo of card stock; Red Hot, Orange Zest, Pineapple Prestige, Sour Apple and Blu Raspberry

…and inlaid the strips in an A2 panel, diecut with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

For the sentiment, i die cut the Good Luck Greeting Die-namics out of Licorice Black Card Stock backed with Stick-It adhesive and covered it with a layer of Glossy Accents. Once it was dry, I adhered it to my panel. As a final touch, I added some crystal drops.
