Two Birdie Brown cards for Vault Day 2

Clean and simple card featuring stamps by Birdie Brown for the MFT December Vault Release.

Hi again! For Day 2 of the MFT December Vault Release, I created two cards with wonderful stamp sets by Birdie Brown.

The first one is quite clean and simple. It features the girl from the BB Adventure is Calling stamp set. I stamped her on some heavyweight Copic friendly card stock with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, die cut her with a matching die and colored her with the following markers:

  • E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20 for the skin
  • E37, E35 and E33 for the hair
  • B95, B93 and B91 for the denim hat and shoes
  • RV34, Rv32 and Rv11 for the dress

Then I went on to creating the little scene that can be seen through the window, cut with one of the dies from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. I simply stamped a cactus from the LLD Sweet Succulents stamp set directly onto the cardbase and masked it.

Next I die cut a couple of slopes, using dies from the Snow Drifts Die-namics and clouds using dies from the Beach Builder Die-namics, out of masking paper. I ink blended the background with Kraft Premium Dye ink and Blu Raspberry Premium Dye ink and added some details and color with Copic markers.

My second card is totally different from the first one, but it also features stamps from a Birdie Brown set called BB Strike up the Band. It is so versatile and fun and I know that I’m going to be using it a lot.

To make the bunny stand out from the panel, die cut out of Blueberry Prestige Card Stock using the All the Stars Cover-Up Die-namics, I added a piece of a stitched white circle and a banner, die cut with one of the dies from the Starburst Sentiment Strips Die-namics out of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. By the way, I colored the stamp with the following Copic markers:

  • W5, W3 and W1 for the fur
  • R9, R37 and R35 for the jacket.
  • Y17 and Y15 for all the yellow details
  • B14 and B12 for the drum
