Warm wishes to wrap up the October Vault Release

Christmas card with cute sweaters for the MFT October Vault Release..

Hi again! I’m back with another card for Day 2 of the MFT October Vault Release. This one features a bunch of cute, warm sweaters from the Comfy Sweater Die-namics.

I started by stamping the Knitted Sweater Background with Kraft Premium Dye Ink on a piece of Smooth White Card Stock. Then I stamped it on Electric Red, Kraft and Jellybean Green Card Stock as well…

Next I die cut a bunch of warm sweaters and adhered them to the background, lining up the knitted patterns. I die cut the panel with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and adhered it to a 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ (22,2cm x 14,3cm) Electric Red cardbase.

Before doing this, I actually tried the easier method of adhering all of the sweathers first and then stamping everything in one go, but it didn’t turn out great. There were a bunch of areas without ink and some that had too much of it.

In these close ups, you can see how well the second, more time consuming method turned out. I only added the cuffs and collar to the kraft colored sweater to draw the eye to it and thus to the sentiment below it.

I embossed the “Warm Wishes” sentiment from the BB Toasty Greetings stamp set, with platinum embossing powder on a vellum banner, die cut with one of the dies from the Starburst Sentiment Strips Die-namics set. As a last touch, I added a couple of green enamel stars and voilá, another Christmas card ready to go.
