Card with flowers on textured background

Hello! For Day 2 of the MFT June Card Kit Release Countdown, I’ve made a card with the stunning Flowers in Bloom stamp and a nice textured background.

I stamped the flowers and stems separately with a little bit of masking, cause I wanted to adhere them with a lot of volume. Next I used Coral Crush and Jellybean Green Color Burst pigments to color them.

For the background I stamped the gorgeous Wood Plank Background with Versamark ink on a panel of Blu Raspberry Card Stock. Instead of regular embossing powder, I used Broken China Distress Embossing Powder. The effect is matte, which is perfect for a larger embossed area. I created my own sentiment with letters from the LLD Stitched Banner Alphabet. This card is a thank you card for my son’s teacher and yesterday’s card, was for my daughter’s teacher.
