Hello again! I’m back with an interactive cat card. I made it for Day 3 of the MFT March Release Countdown.
Please remember that the complete March release will be available in the MFT shop on Tuesday, March 12 at 9 a.m. EST. It’s an amazing release and we’re very proud of it, so don’t miss any of the inspirational DT projects.

When the tab is pulled, the cat swings its arm and the bird moves to the left. Logically it should move to the right, to get away from the cat, but the laws of physics, were against us this time, ha ha ha. I used a small magnet, but it was still larger than any of the butterflies of the Purrfect Friends stamp set, so I chose one of the birds from the BB Happy Hippos set, to be able to cover it. Let’s have a quick look at the mechanism:
The hardest part, was to punch a 3/16″ (5mm) hole in the main card panel to be able to attach the cat’s arm to the foam dot. I’ve used this type of mechanism several times and you can see a tutorial of it HERE or HERE.

I decorated the panel with flowers from the stamp sets Somebunny (one of my all-time favorites) and BB Ewe are the Best and clouds from the Just Ducky Die-namics. The cute sentimient is from the Rainbows & Unicorns stamp set.

To end this post, I invite you once again to the MFT design blog where you can leave a comment to have the chance to win a $75 gift card to the My Favorite Things shop. Please visit the blogs of my teammates for more inspiration on how to use today’s products.
