It was my father’s Birthday on Monday and I made him a card with a fun stamp set by Jane’s Doodles. My father is neither bald, nor a smoker and he has no beard, but he loves the sea, just like Simon, the main character of this scene:
I masked the stamps so I could color and fussy cut them all at once…

I added the wood texture, wrinkles and hair with my Copic markers.

I used dies from the set Stitched Whimsical Waves by Die-namics, cardstock in two tones and vellum to create the waves and dies from the set In the Clouds, also by Die-namics, to die cut the clouds.
I was inspired by the first color palette of the August challenge at Seven Hills Crafts…

…and the theme of Challenge 356, “The great outdoors” at Paper Players, to create my card.

That’s all for today… I’ll be back next week with another masculine card. See you then!
