A colorful card for the last challenge at Yoy Scrap

My card for the last challenge at Yoy Scrap.
I don’t craft a lot during the summer, but I really wanted to participate in the last challenge at Yoy Scrap in order to bid farewell to Cris, Lali and their awesome DT. They asked us to use our favorite Yoy Scrap stamp set and I chose “Chiringuito”… it’s perfect for any summer or party themed project. Here’s my project…

…a colorful card made with watercolor paper and Distress inks. The stamps of this set are very small and they are perfect for creating detailed backgrounds.

After stamping the different glasses, I colored the lemons, olives and umbrellas with a small brush and Distress Ink. After that I used the “ink smooshing” technique to add a touch of color to the rest…

I also added some splatter, letting the panel dry between colors so that they wouldn’t blend too much…

I took the pictures yesterday afternoon, and I wasn’t able to capture all the details, like the true color of that golden banner and the embossed “Hola” from my very first set of Yoy Scrap stamps.
Lastly, I would like to thank the Yoy Scrap team for these fun and inspiring couple of years. I will remain a fan of their products and a reader of their blog forever.
