My scrappy friends Gemma and Yolanda had a really fun idea, challenging Mireia and Anika at their own game, the “Scrapliftduo”. This time the challenge didn’t consist only in scraplifting a project, but in turning a layout into a card and a card into a layout. I started with the easier task. Here’s my card.
…inspired by this beautiful layout by a French scrapper called Emma from the blog Les p’tit plaisirs d’Emma. I didn’t know her, but after seeing this piece of art, I’m definitely left craving more.
It’s so sweet and beautiful, featuring her baby boy in those cute colored bow ties… I was also inspired by my son, who is about to turn five, and made him this fun Birthday card…
Matias loves putting on costumes, so I used the boy from the “Super boy” set by Mft Stamps, that reminds me of him, and accessories from the “Hipster animals” set by Hero Arts, to create these four “pictures”.
Just like Emma, I used gesso-covered news paper for the background and the colors coral, yellow, aqua and violet for the frames, die cut with a frame from the “Precious Polaroids” set by Die-namics.
For the sentiment I used the “Emmit Alphabet” dies, also by Die-namics and lastly a couple of enamel dots to embellish the card. I think that Matias will recognize himself in the card (he has a super hero costume, a shirt with blue dots and a bow tie, a fake moustache and a sailor shirt in his costume trunk) and like it a lot.
The next project will be to create a layout inspired by this beautiful card by my friend Eva (Scrap Eva by Eva). I find it very difficult, but I will do it fondly…
