Good morning! Let’s begin the month of May by announcing two new crafting challenges:
The one for Locas por el Scrap, and although this month I didn’t have to prepare an inspiration project, I created the blog post and I think it’s a very cool challenge, in which we ask to use at least three photos… I invite you to stop by to see the incredible projects of my teammates and the big prize that the winner will get….
…and the one from La Pareja Creativa for which I have prepared this card:
Let’s see if you can guess the theme? That’s it… we invite you to use the gradient or ombre effect. Here’s a beautiful inspiration collage:
Us DT girls have used the “Happy” die, which is the product of the month and has a discount in the La Pareja Creativa store.
Let’s see more details of my card…
I cut the blue panel with the largest die from the Sewn Rectangles set and glued it onto silver glitter paper from Heidi Swapp’s “Marquee Love” collection and then onto a card base of the same size. Next, I used the balloon die from the Little Monsters set to cut 15 balloons in three shades of cardstock to create the ombre effect.
I used the product of the month to die cut the word “happy” twice out of blue cardstock and once out of silver cardstock. Next, I punched some holes in it and tied silver threads to three of the balloons. Finally, I embossed the word “birthday” from the Happy stamp set in silver, added a couple of crystals and that’s it!
I gave the card to my friend Pilar from the blog La Scrapera Enfermera for her birthday, which was on Saturday. Pili, in the end I forgot to pull your ears (something crazy that we do here in Spain), ha ha ha 😉
