A unisex wedding card

Hace un par de días me encargaron una tarjeta para la boda de Carlos y Tommi. La invitación para su boda es tan original y elegante que me sentí un poco insegura sobre si les gustaría la idea que me vino a la cabeza y que he plasmado así:

Two days ago, I was asked to make a wedding card for Carlos and Tommi. The invitation to their wedding is so original and elegant that I felt a bit insecure about the idea that I had and captured like this:

Quise crear una escena, inspirada por las tarjetas tan bonitas que hace Yolanda Garrido de Scraping time, y para ello utilicé un par de sellos de esa colección tan versátil que es “Honey Bunny” de Mama Elephant.

I wanted to create a scene, inspired by the beautiful cards that Yolanda Garrido from Scraping Time makes, and for that I used a couple of stamps from the oh so versatile “Honey Bunny” set by Mama Elephant.

Como no tenía ningún sello de un coche visto por detrás y tampoco encontré un sello digital adecuado, lo tuve que dibujar yo misma. Prácticamente calqué un dibujo de un coche que encontré en Pinterest, aunque tuve que modificar las dimensiones y eliminar el techo para que se vieran los protagonistas de la tarjeta…

Since I didn’t have a stamp with a back view of a car and I didn’t find an adecuate digital stamp, I hade to draw it myself. I practically traced a picture of a car that I found on Pinterest although I had to modify the dimensions and eliminate the roof in order to show the main characters of the card…

Embosé el sentimiento, un sello de Con sal y pimienta, en plata y añadí toques de Wink of Stella transparente a los corazones azul verdosos y a los focos traseros. A estos últimos también apliqué un poco de Glossy accents para crear volumen…

I silver embossed the sentiment, a stamp by Con sal y pimienta that says “congratulations” and added touches of clear Wink of Stella to the teal hearts and red tail lights. I also added a layer of Glossy accents to the latter to give them some volume…
