Tomorrow is the last day to submit our layouts for Yoy Scrap’s monthly challenge, so this afternoon I got cracking and finally sat down and made mine…
Me costó bastante encontrar “mi palabra” para este año, que es exactamente lo que nos planteaban las chicas de Yoy scrap. Finalmente elegí “alegría”, algo que nunca debe faltar en la vida…
I had a hard time finding “my word” for this year, which is exactly what the girls at Yoy Scrap suggested. I finally chose “happiness”, something that you can never have too much of in your life…

Lo primero que hice fue buscar una foto que combinara bien con estos colores, aunque siempre tienes la opción del blanco y negro. La que elegí no es perfecta…un “selfie” medio borroso sacado con el móvil hace ya cinco años, pero las dos vamos de violeta y estamos taaaan monas 🙂
The first thing I did, was to find a photograph that would go well with these colors, although you can always go for black and white. I didn’t choose a perfect picture, it’s a blurry selfie taken with a cell phone five years ago, but we are both wearing violet and look sooooo cute 🙂
Después elegí tintas, papeles y adornos que fueran bien con el tema… y a crear!
Then I chose inks, papers and embellishments to go with the theme… and started creating!
Estuve más de una hora pensando en el journaling y al final dejé un hueco en la esquina superior izquierda por si un día me inspiro y escribo algo bonito. De momento me conformo con la preciosa cita de Ana Frank: “Piensa en toda la belleza que sigue habiendo a tu alrededor y sé feliz.”
I thought about the journaling for more than an hour and finally decided to leave a spot in the upper left-hand corner in case I get inspired to write something nice someday. For now, I’m happy with Anne Frank’s beautiful quote: “Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”
Me gusta el layout a pesar de que al principio no me convencía mucho la paleta. Fue la primera vez que me atreví a garabatear con un pilot y no quedó nada mal. Gracias, Bea (Rana de colores) por animarme! Hasta mañana, cuando publicaré una tarjeta atípica para mí 😉
I like how the layout turned out even though I wasn’t that fond of the palette at first. It was the first time that I dared to scribble with a pilot pen and it didn’t turn out too bad. Thanks Bea (Rana de colores) for encouraging me! See you tomorrow when I’ll be posting an atypical card for me 😉
